Thank you for your interest in nominating an inventor for the $500,000 Lemelson-MIT Prize. Please enter your information below and hit "submit" to begin the nomination process. All fields are required. Write "N/A" if you do not have an answer for a particular field. In addition to this on-line registration, please download and complete the Initial Submission Form and email it as a .pdf to Lemelson_Awards@mit.edu by Friday, September 6, 2013. This form asks you to disclose your relationship to your nominee, for a brief statement that summarizes your nominee's major technological inventive accomplishments and why he/she is being nominated for the prize (please refer to our Definition of Technological Invention), the nominee's CV (5 pages maximum), and requires details (patent number, title, and authors) on at least two patents for which your nominee is the lead inventor.
The Lemelson-MIT Program will review your registration and Initial Submission Form. Nominators of competitive nominees will be asked to provide additional information. Information about the entire nomination process can be found here.
